Aransas Pass Seamen's Memorial Tower
Built May 9, 1970
The pink marble slab on which the names appear was donated by Charlie Marshall in 1970.
The Buoy with the dent on the left was donated by Richard Hatch III in 1970.
The Anchor was brought up in a net by the shrimp boat owned by J. D. Welborn. This anchor was believed to be about 100 years old in 1970 and probably came from one of the federal gunships sunk in the area during the Civil War.
